MEET OUR TEAM

Dean-Richard Johansson

Dean-Richard is a highly-skilled skincare expert with years of experience in dermatology at the renowned Optaderm Clinic. He specializes with a deep understanding of the skin biology to create personalized skincare regimens based by science and innovation. He combines advanced techniques with a compassionate approach to help clients achieve radiant, healthy-looking and effective skin. Whether addressing common skin concerns or guiding clients through anti-aging treatments, Dean-Richard is dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Caitlin

Caitlin has been an esthetician for 17 years. She is a graduate of the Blanche MacDonald Institute in Vancouver, British Columbia with additional studies in the field of Oncology Esthetics. Additionally she completed her Palomar-Cynosure laser training in 2019. Caitlin has been with Optaderm for six years, offering a full range of esthetic and laser therapies. Over the years, she has also taught esthetics at the John Casablanca Institute. Driven by a passion for continuous learning in skin care products, services, and laser technology, Caitlin consistently updates her knowledge and expertise. As part of Optaderm's management team, she oversees the ongoing training of all staff.

Nasrin

Nasrin brings 40 years of esthetics experience to Optaderm. A graduate of École Internationale de Beauté in Paris, France, she completed her Palomar-Cynosure laser training in 2015. Having been with Optaderm for 35 years, she practices a full range of esthetic and laser treatments, and has also operated her own skincare practice in North Vancouver. Nasrin is highly engaged with innovations in the skincare industry, continually updating her knowledge and skills. As a member of Optaderm’s management team, her extensive expertise is a valuable resource to the entire team.

Calla

Calla has been with Optaderm for four years. She is a graduate of the John Casablanca Institute in Vancouver, completing her Palomar-Cynosure laser training in 2021. With a strong focus on both esthetics and laser therapies, Calla consistently advances her skills through ongoing training. Skincare is her second career, and she brings unique insight into Optaderm products, having worked at the lab for two years.

Nicole

Nicole began her esthetics career in 2001 after graduating from Marvel School of Esthetics. Her professional journey has taken her around the world, working in both spa and clinical environments, where she developed a strong foundation in global skincare practices. For the past 20 years, Nicole served as the Esthetics Manager for a spa in Vancouver before joining Optaderm to focus exclusively on skin health. With more than two decades of experience, she brings deep insight and dedication to every treatment. Skincare is not only her profession—it’s her passion.

Makiko brings over 10 years of experience to Optaderm, with a background in both luxury hotel spas and private membership club spas. Trained in Japan and Canada, she combines Eastern and Western techniques to deliver personalized, results-focused treatments. Known for her expert facials and calm, professional demeanor, Makiko helps clients feel at ease while achieving their skincare goals. Her commitment to wellness and attention to detail are reflected in the high quality of care she provides.
